Ronnalie Inglis brings specialized expertise in contract law and a client-centered approach to The Calgary Legal Team, where she combines analytical precision with creative problem-solving to achieve optimal outcomes for clients.

Ronnalie's distinguished career includes significant in-house counsel experience with major organizations. At the Alberta Electric Systems Operator (AESO), she developed extensive knowledge of the electricity industry and led major contract negotiations, navigating complex regulatory frameworks. She also served at Raytheon Canada Ltd., a military defense company where she worked with government contracts and Standard Acquisition Contract Clauses (SACC), requiring top-level security clearance.

What distinguishes Ronnalie's approach is her commitment to understanding clients' objectives before determining legal strategy. "I believe in first understanding what the client's objectives are and then determining the best way to accomplish those objectives," she explains. "Many firms choose the strategy first and then fit the client's objectives to the strategy. I think that does a disservice to clients."

Ronnalie was drawn to law because it balances structure with creativity. "While the law seems to be black and white, right or wrong, there is actually a great deal of creativity required to be an effective advocate," she notes. "A large portion of the law is subject to interpretation, and my job is to interpret it in a way that benefits our clients."

Her dedication to building trust and clear communication helps clients navigate stressful situations with confidence. She takes time to understand not only clients' legal needs but also their motivations and values, ensuring that legal strategies align with their broader objectives.

When not practicing law, Ronnalie enjoys horseback riding—a passion she's pursued since age two—and finds it her greatest source of stress relief. She also loves traveling to experience new cultures and cuisines. As a creative outlet, Ronnalie writes detective fiction, finding it an engaging way to exercise her imagination.
